Serious sex assault in car park

The assault was carried out in the Vale Road multi-storey car park, opposite the railway station in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, on Thursday evening. The woman was returning to her car from the station, police said. The offender, who approached her holding a knife, was described as white, in his late 20s to early 30s, and of average to slim build. He was wearing a black zip-up jacket, jeans and a black beanie hat. The assault took place at about 2130 GMT and the car park area was cordoned off for police to conduct an investigation. Det Ch Insp Tony Thomas said: “This was a serious sexual assault. “It is important that anyone with information comes forward so we can arrest this offender as quickly as possible.” Source : news.bbc.co.uk |
