Man accused of sexually abusing elderly

Breaux Bridge A man was arrested and sexual abuse charges the battery on incidents alleged Lafayette following two older facilities. The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Bodoin Roy, 55, on Thursday, after receiving reports of Amelia Manor Nursing Home Center on Sainte-Gertude Manor apartments and Webb Street on Monday. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bodoin allegedly went to the two facilities Monday and told staff there to visit a friend. Bodoin, then claimed in several rooms, and had “inappropriate contact” with female residents. The hospice is equipped with 32 security cameras, and through time and the arrival of deputies detectives, said Thomas operational staff of the image already identified the suspect in the same building. “People have been spectacular. They were from the beginning,” says Thomas. “Once it tells us something is not in order, the staff jumped on it as quickly as it really could.” Thomas said the additional security measures have been put in place, but went to give specific details.
