Leeds players held over sex assault claim

Leeds United players Jody Morris and Jermaine Pennant were arrested today in connection with an alleged sexual assault. Morris, 24, was originally quizzed last month following allegations that a 20-year-old woman was attacked in Leeds in the early hours of October 7. A source at Leeds United said Jermaine Pennant, 20, was also arrested over the incident. A spokeswoman for West Yorkshire Police said two men aged 26 and 24 had been re-arrested today while a 20-year-old man had been detained for the first time. A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “We have arrested a 20-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 26-year-old man.
