HCC highlights sustainable development April 2


Haywood Community College is hosting an exhibition on sustainable development April 2, at the Student Center Building. This expo is growing in the field of sustainable development and to provide information on business and networking opportunities for students and the general public.

The exhibition starts at 10 am and ends at 2 pm Many of the key players in this area vast and People, goods and personnel to answer questions in the relevant fields.

Areas include: NC BioNetwork and NCCCS BioNetwork Mobile Lab, HCC’s Natural Resources and Sustainable Development Programme, NC Natural Products Association, Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP), Green Lending (Self-Help Credit Union), Western North Carolina Green Building Council, Photovoltaics (Crawford Creek Electrics), Ecological Bath and Body-products (Terra Sole ‘Studios), North Carolina Herb Association, recycling (Haywood County Solid Waste Department), Blue Ridge BioFuels, Haywood and water.

Come comment on the public transport network

A deposit of the public meeting on the future of commentary for Haywood County transit will be held from 1.30 to 3.30 pm on Thursday, April 3, at the lowest level of the library Haywood County.

More information about West’s Wound Care Clinic, April 17th day of the open door

The Wound Care Clinic romande host an open house from 4 pm to 6 am on April 17 at the clinic on the campus of the Regional Hospital Harris. The event celebrates the Wound Care Clinic romande new space and honour Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses (WOCN) days.

WOCN is a society care for nurses additional training and administration in the areas of certification of the wound, ostomy care and abstinence.

Wound Care clinic in West provides specialized care for patients with stationary and ambulatory injury or ostomies. The nursing staff is made up of three board certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses (CWOCNs), and a registered nurse. The CWOCNs are qualified to evaluate and treat patients with various types of wounds and ostomies. They also serve as a consultant for the Agency for Health Care West, and many nursing homes and long-term care facilities in western North Carolina.

Foundation will help Angel Medical Center

Angel Medical Center officials are encouraging staff, volunteers and community in support of the Hospital Foundation, which has just begun.
