Bid to beat child prostitution

New guidelines are to be drawn up by Scottish ministers in a bid to tackle the problem of child prostitution. The Scottish Executive said it would establish a National Working Party on Child Prostitution and Runaways to come up with new guidelines for combating a trade which “demeans everyone involved”. The group will start by consulting with child protection services in local council areas early in the New Year. Representatives from the police, social work, health services and children’s charities will all be invited to take part. More : news.bbc.co.uk |
