The woman, Linda Maynard, who met Mr. Barry through Mr. Lewis, testified earlier in the trial that the Mayor forced her to have sex with him at a hotel in the Virgin Islands in March 1988. But after being summoned back to the stand by the defense, Mr. Lewis said today that he had seen Ms. Maynard and the Mayor together shortly after the incident is supposed to have occurred and that she seemed calm and composed.
