7 Teen-Agers Are Charged With Assault Of Girl, 15

Seven Staten Island teen-agers have been accused of raping a 15-year-old New Jersey girl after luring her to a motel room in a resort town on the south Jersey shore, where the police said the young men gave her alcoholic drinks and photographed the sexual assault, the authorities said yesterday. The girl, whose name was not released because of the nature of the crime, was attacked by the seven teen-agers on Sunday around 5 P.M., said Capt. John Harkins of the North Wildwood Police Department. She was taken to Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and released, the police said. The teen-agers, who range in age from 16 to 18 years old, assaulted the girl shortly after meeting her and a friend on the boardwalk that lines Wildwood Island, about 45 miles south of Atlantic City, Captain Harkins said.
