4 Youths Held in Assault of Girl, 14, at Party

Four teen-age boys from Ridgewood have been accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl on Dec. 20, apparently after she became intoxicated during a house party, the authorities disclosed today. All four were arrested by Dec. 22 on charges of aggravated sexual assault after the girl’s parents filed complaints with the police in Ridgewood, an upscale suburban community in western Bergen County. Three of the suspects, a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds, appeared in Family Court in Bergen County on Thursday and were released to the custody of their parents, said Jeal Sugarman, head of the juvenile unit of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s office. Officials have withheld their names because they are considered juveniles under New Jersey law. The fourth youth, identified as Renzo Dos Santos, 18, of Ridgewood, was released on $10,000 bail after appearing in New Jersey Superior Court here, Charles R.
